It may sound strange but school is d best thing in my life right now...so glad school is back to keep me busy and occupy most of my time with new things to learn every class! Plus, my classmates keep me sane...all my favorite people are in the same class again! :)

Only 4 more working days left in the current job...sad (to leave d people I've come to feel so close) and excited and nervous about d new place!

On an unrelated note, please go away negative energies! Me and V (my classmate I'm quite close to) have been running into unfortunate events lately (weird old man stalked us on first day back at school on Tues & we went for some retail therapy to make us feel better tonight after school and witnessed a young couple's failed attempt at shoplifting!) and we both are feeling really down for some reason...we think we need to go and do some praying or something to get out of dis "negative" times...perhaps?

Anyways, I'm gonna really try not to put negative emo stuff on my blog...coz well there's nothing phat about dat stuff! here's hoping things will turn around for d better *twists fingers*

I read about dis book on my fav author's blog way before d movie materialized...but I never got round to reading it nor watching d movie..till last night...when I was bored out of wits and doing assignment sounded like a madness and I decided to just cuddle in bed with a movie...I used to hate those kind of movies...so slow and so depressing and make you think and stuff...guess I got older?..haha...

It was a good watch and it definitely gets you thinking...wish I could go off on a year long trip to Italy and Barcelony and Bali and where not in search for my peace and happiness, too :)

But for now, school and assignments keep me sane...as much as I hate them for d torturous amount of time and effort required to put it, I'm grateful for them...

I went to get my iPhone checked coz d silent switch has been acting up and of coz iPhones can never be serviced or repaired so I got a new set as a replacement...

The Good: brand new set..totally beats d scratched and dropped a thousand times old set!

The Bad: iTunes can't back everything up...like SMS-es...so whatever little memory I have left...gone :(
Oh well...they are just visuals..and only a teeny tiny part of...not like I would ever forget without them...would I?

The Ugly: spent my entire evening and night sync-ing and reorganizing all d apps...why in d world did I need to get all those 1001 apps, some I hardly use or know how to use...took a lot of patience reducing and grouping from 6 pages to 2...phewwwww

PR (Public Relations: Contemporary Approaches) results are out! I froze for a few minutes before I click to view d results...coz well, dat was d toughest out of d three core modules I've done so far..and I was scared I won't get at least a C...coz even though I might not work hard enough at times, I don't want my uni transcripts to have a lot of Pass-es and no Credits and Distinctions...thus is my stupid ambition without wanting to work hard! lol...

Anyways, I couldn't stare at d page dat was telling me to view my results forever...so I had to click view and wooooooblooodyhooooooo! C to d Red It yo! I wish it was a D or better if it was a HD...but well..I always wish it was better whenever I see my results so nothing new...just glad it's not a lonely "P"

I should buy myself something nice tomorrow, right? :P

I stayed home today to springclean d house with mom...springcleaning took less dan 2 hours..but I spent d rest of d day reminiscing from all d silly-and-important-but-forgotten things I came across..

Things like dis! I can't believe but am soooo glad I still have dis! My log book from Final Year Project back in school...

And training manual with products information from Fish & Co! Classic stuff...lol

And some other things I'm not proud of dat I only too quickly burned...but I guess they were all a part of making me who I am today...so..yes, I'm not proud of everything I did or do but I'd rather have done things dan regret not doing things.. :P

We are springcleaning coz today is d last day of Thingyan and tomorrow will be a brand new year for us, Burmese people.

Tomorrow I will be spending time with family, staying in and doing all things good...so my name will go into d good book and d entire coming year will be filled with all things good :)

Whatsapp was acting up and in a spur of d moment I deleted it..thinking I could always download and reinstall it...yes, I was able to reinstall it..but gone were the conversations I wanted to keep for as long as my iPhone lives or the conversations I'm not ready to lose...they were still gone...very upset about it...but well, maybe it was meant to be...maybe I'm supposed to get rid of things...I know it's for d better...but I'm still sad...you are slowly fading away...I'm trying to hold on to those last bits and I'm losing my grip...I know I'm supposed to move on..I am moving on...I don't need you to be gone for me to move on...and there are things I'm gonna hold on to till my last breath...and nobody can take them away from me...not if it kills me..

ok, end of emo stuff...

I had one of those days at work where everything and everyone was against me...broke down, got over it, fell off d wagon and had a few ciggies, etc...Thank Goodness for Ben & Jerry's free cone day!..rushed down to nearest scoop shop after work...all drenched in rain (remember everything was against me so some buses drove past in poodles of water and I got soaked head to toe! haha)...Nonetheless, we managed to get our free cones and dat's what I want to remember from today...

Free ice cream! $$ I dropped into d box for those kids with Dyslexia...pure bliss licking every bit of dat ice cream :)

Just saw d grading of my first assignment online...with all d comments and everything...d comments are harsh! and d grade sucks! *Ouch*...oh well...at least she specially mentioned my 'above average fluency in writing'...I should just take d good out of everything she said...I need motivation...so I shall only concentrate on d good thing she said...been sitting and typing for d Journal assignment...so far I have like half a page :(
guess it's a good thing I saw it right now...so I can 'analyze more in depth and substantiate' for dis one I'm working on...freaking hate dat word 'substantiate'! Grr..spelling it alone is exhausting oredi..

Thank goodness for school and assignments...at least my brain is occupied...at least for as long as I have not submitted dis assignment...and it is a huge help!

I've just submitted a 1500 words essay that will give me 15% of marks to pass this module. I just had to blog to remind myself not to leave assignment works till last minute. I hated d feeling. I thought I just needed a day or so since essays are sort of my thing. I've always loved writing essays, etc. Next thing I know, I have to research and relate to d topic readings and what not and dis essay is no longer my thing! I was having a panic attack 4 hours to d submission deadline with only 300 words in my document and a blank brain. It is not pretty I tell you, I could totally feel myself shaking!

So...I'm flying back! :)

d last time I visited is in October 2008...my aunts and grandparents are already so excited...quite bummed about leaving mom and dad here though..but me and sis are excited...especially for me, since I haven't been back during d cold season for d past 10 years...it's always summer when I go back...dis time it's gonna be different...I'm packing all my cold weather sweaters, leggings, stockings, and boots..lol..but my friends are telling me it's not dat cold anymore...I guess I could take a road trip, go up north to get a feel of winter (3, 4 Degrees)..we'll see..

Work is gonna be crazy when I get back after being away for dis long..but I guess f*** it...I haven't taken a long break for ages!..another thing I'm worried though, there's not gonna be good internet connection there...I'm one of those IT slaves who can't live without d internet...and I'm gonna be there for 14 days...Hopefully I'll manage to find places with wifi and can check back every now and den..

in case I don't get a chance to blog again before I go back...

Only first class and we are already terrified! haha..

Before:

I've always thought I was born to do PR, to learn PR, to do great in PR, and maybe even run a PR firm!..

After:

!!!!!! Not only I have to 1) read at least the Straits Time (d whole stack of it) everyday - or other additional newspapers if I wish and time permits- ... 2) be up to date with current issues.. 3) be punctual for class no matter your meeting overran or your boss asked you to stay another 10 mins coz your marks will be deducted if you are late for more dan 15 mins.. 4) read a lot, read at least three articles that you are supposed to discuss in next class in advance .. 5) so that you can participate in class coz participation is counted in the marks that add up for you to pass ... 6) keep a learning journal reflecting on each lesson, which is 20% of the marks...7) most importantly, I now have to frigging work hard to get rid of all d flabs on my body coz my lecturer is at least 50 years old and Boy is her body HOT! all toned and tough and not even an inch of flabby flesh....which was d highlight of today's class for most of us...

I have not updated here about school...so after 6 years away from books since I finished my Diploma in 2004 (Yes, I'm old)...I pushed myself with a little help from BFF and finally enrolled myself for a Degree...majoring in Marketing and Media..what I've always wanted to do...I've done a trimester and tomorrow's start of my second..to my surprise, I did quite well despite d stress and my constant whining, finding it super hard juggling between work and studies...I could only hope I will continue to do well and finish it within another year or so...Wish me luck! :)

Just to keep d blog colorful, here's a picture of me from last year (30th Dec 2010) after a Chocolate buffet at Marina Bay Sands, Sky Park by Infinity pool...I gotta get into dat pool some time soon!

I miss having photoshop

Found a Tiffany bracelet at Commonwealth MRT station..I left it with SMRT customer service..I would hate it to lose my Tiffany..not for d $$$ value it holds but for d sentimental value of it...I really hope she comes back to look for it and gest it back..

But now I'm thinking perhaps I should have returned it to Tiffany instead? Do you think more chances for d owner to get it back?

I spent my day helping mom springclean d house...I know most people do it before d new year...but we just never got round to it...I was working till Friday and all..so, yup!

I packed away my school notes from previous trimester when we were at it...I didn't want to pack them after exam because I was worried about my results and now d results are out so I can safely pack them away...dunno why but I just can't throw them away...always feel like I would need to look at them for reference again..oh well, I'll keep them at least till my graduation I guess..2 modules down 7 more to go for my Degree!

It's back to work tomorrow..so not ready...still want more off days! Oh well...gonna head to back now...I want to be early for first working day of 2011...let's see if I can do dat :P

first day of a new year...so far so good...

Staying at home with Mom, Dad and my younger sis...rainy weather to cozy up in bed with a book and mum made snacks and dad made coffee...perfect!

I have a feeling 2011 is going to be just GRAND!

Earlier on I was setting up d printer I just bought and was getting frustrated because I hate to do things like dat..I just want to have someone to hook it up to printer and configure it for me so I can simply click 'print' when I need to. And just as I was whining, it hit me...I have to be less lazy dis year! And I pushed myself to get it all sorted out, of coz with help from a friend, but I did it nonetheless. So ya, I won't be making any resolution...but I'll just try to be a better person and be ~~happy~~ happier :)

And as you might have noticed, I've made changes on d blog, I'm also trying to start blogging again (see: less lazy)..quite sad though for I forgot to take a screenshot of my previous blogskin...now it's too late...oh well..no point dwelling over it now...

I've been too lazy to blog lately...in fact, I've just been too lazy to do anything besides sitting on my fat butt and watching movies/tv shows...Gosh, I am old!

Anyways, thought I would update...

Singapore Reggae Fest that made me super excited months in advance didn't happen in d end...much to my disappointment...however, Rach told me dat there was something in a smaller scale at a smaller price happening on d same day...you have no idea how delighted I was!..I haven't heard a Reggae band live since forever...so, naturally, I went...and though I wish d band from Phillipines wouldn't try to make it as though their concert, it was just so good to hear Bushmen play after so long...I wish they would never stop...trying to find and see if they are playing anywhere on a regular basics...so, if anyone knows, pls buzz me! I would be so greatful...

Ree snapped some pics of me while waiting for them to start...I wasn't ready in any of those photos..but I thought it's candid and fun ;)

I went to a friend's house in d afternoon..and was intending to go home and change (coz I had a total Rasta outfit planned for dis) before I head to d party at 8PM...but somehow ended up not going home...so, I had to make do with what I was wearing with d help of whatever accessories I could find...end result wasn't so bad, I think...I made my Maxi dress into a skirt, bought a $5 tube top and VOILA! ;)

It's payday today...

I bought myself a pretty dress online...in electric blue, a colour I've never ever owned for a clothing item in my 25 years..(I wonder why all of sudden I feel myself drawn to such colours...) and went to do my nails...I just felt like I needed some pampering :D

Oh and when I was walking around in Far East Plaza before my pedi, I saw really comfy flats on sale at S$9.90...of course I bought! and guess what colour they are in? ;)

I think my knees have been fighing a cold war with my high heels...right now, they seem to be having an upper hand...but I'm sure my heels will win...afterall there are only 2 knees...I have enough heels to win them over...just you wait, knees!..for now, I'm gonna bribe you with a pair of cheap-but-cute flats till you change dat attitude of yours...

Just got my Re-entry permit renewed :)

d folks at ICA are genius! I was dreading d day I have to go and Que up for long hours for dis renewal..but guess what? d great minds decided they'll put up a 'system' online 24 x 7 and I couldnt' be more greatful...fuss free and easy as 1. 2. 3...

If any of you reading are Singapore Permanent Residents whose REP (re-entry permit) is expiring soon, you may want to renew it online here...as long as it's not expired yet and you have ibanking/debit card/credit card to make payment online for $50 (for 5 years..dat's d max you get regardless of doing it online or doing it personally at ICA building)...oh and you need to have a SINGPASS, too...

d entire process took me less dan 30 minutes and my application was approved on d spot...

But please do read the manual and FAQs if you are ensure before you do anything...as I'm only sharing my experience and giving you links for your convenience and, in no way, give you any guideline nor am responsible for any mishaps you might encounter...

despite what my last post said, I haven't spent a dime on shopping up till dis moment (unless if you count buying an exercise book for less dan $1 for my chinese class)...am I good or what?! heh...ok, now I just need to get through next week and a few more days after dat without spending on shopping and I'm good...temptations pls stay away!..

Today I went to National Library and finally got myself library membership ($10 for lifetime)..you might be wondering why I need to pay...I'm still a Permanent Resident and not a citizen, dat's why...anyways, it's totally worth it..d reason it's been taking me so long to do it was dat I always had someone with a Pink IC to help me borrow books...not today though and I thought it's about time...and guess what I found? One Fifth Avenue by Candace Bushnell :) one of d only two books by her dat I haven't read...Been wanting to read it for a while..almost bought it on a few occasions but I've somehow been putting it off...anyways, got my hands on it at last...have any of you read it? what did you think of it?..I'll defintely be sharing what I think once I'm done.. :)

I dunno why and how but I seem to be talking $$$ and cents so much lately...guess I'm just growing ~~old~~up and being (or at least trying to be) better with my finances?

How's your P.H going?

Mine's going great! back in d office unpacking 1000 and 1 boxes just by ourselves (me + my colleague)...Hopefully I'll wake up tomorrow with no achings whatsoever...seriously, where do we get all those files, people?!..oh and to make it all more fun...I got my jeans and tee painted...pale green, exactly how d walls look...it's fab I tell ya! and I've got d crotch area and one leg of my jeans splashed by d complicated thingy some ppl used to wash their butt...d toilet won't flush so I thought I would turn it on to get whatever water available...but no, d water shoots out! at light speed and really far...far enough to reach d cubicle door...seriously woman, you use dat to wash your butt or wash your butt???? just glad I was already standing up and d water splashed at one leg of my jeans...praying it would dry of before I leave d office...

It's just like me to have all d fun...my other colleagues day must be so boring...mine's always SO MUCH FUN, don't you think? ;)

I had an evenful Sunday and I'm super tired now...gonna turn in early tonight becasuse though d entire Singapore is having tomorrow as a replacement Public Holiday, I have to go back to work for office shifting works and thus my long weekend is cut short... :( oh well, I could always use an Off-In-Lieu...and come Tuesday, we are gonna have a bigger and better office!

Oh and isn't it amazing how they still have dis mini Christmas tree in d office from 2007?..and d best part?..my written-in-pencil wish is still dangling there!..I thought I should take a picture and share before it's all gone after shifting...

feeling pretty accomplished today! :D

did some springcleaning in my room...mainly d dressing table...tidied up my uncountable accessories...and threw away a little too many age-old cosmetics...it was hard to do..but some of them lipsticks and blushers and eyeliners and mascaras and SKINLOTIONS were around for longer dan I can remember...and I don't think they are any good to use now...(note to self: stop buying earrings just coz they are cute and cheap when in d end you'll have no time before leaving home to wear them! stop buying d same smoky eye stuff when you know nuts about eye makeup and never ever manage to get d look! tell Aunt to stop buying you earrings and skinlotions and cosmetics coz you buy yourself more dan enough...tell her you would like $$$$ instead!!)

seriously think I need more space in my closet...thinking of selling some stuff...hmmm...not sure if I have enough people reading my blog dat would buy though...will see how...

THE Haircut

After years of thinking/wishing/saying I want to chop off my hair for a change....I finally did it!..without even thinking so much dis time...initially, I just wanted to go for a trim as my hair was looking dull and dry and having bad hair day almost everyday...and two days after my birthday, I thought I should get myself a birthday haircut...and in a spur of d moment, I decided I would get rid of all these rough hair..and *poof* gone was my crazy wavy hair...I'm just so glad I chose dis salon...my stylist was very patient and very very good at what she does...I've never spent 3 hours or more just for wash-treatment-wash-cut of my hair...and to think dat I only paid S$41 for d whole thing...from what I know, you only need dat kind of time when you perm or rebond your hair...and I'm so very happy with d results :)

Part of d reason why it took me years to cut my hair short is dat..I was very comfortable with my hair...and most people I know would tell me how much they like my hair...how it's wavy naturally, etc...and it has always stopped me...and a bigger part of it is because of my not so small and round face with high cheekbones...I've always worried cutting my hair short would show more of my round face and made my face look bigger dan it already is....my favourite part of dis new hair is how it does not just make my face bigger..but it even helps make it look long-ish...well, dis is according to my friends...so you gotta see it for yourself...

I know it doesn't make me look prettier or anything...but it was good enough for me...and I feel light and fresh...and I have less maintaining to do with dis hair...see d transformation..and my BB saves pictures taken by time so I thought I'll let you see d timing of d process as well ;)

and in case you are wondering, of course I do miss my crazy wavy hair!..but I'll live and I know my hair grows fast enough...I can always have it back if and when I want...so yah...what do you think?

I'm always drooling over cool vintage/thrift stores..but many affordable priced ones are from overseas and d rediculous postage cost is more dan what I save from shopping at dat affordable price...Thus, I've been suffering long and bad from dat want-but-can't-have-them...

And den came Uniiko-Vintage...dis might be just what I needed...it has vintage and preloved items dat are sold at dirt cheap prices...some are brand new even...I've got my eye on these two...I've been wanting a vintage bare back sundress for-like-ever!..it's almost as if Nicole has helped me find it...now I'm only waiting for a reply on if I can still have it...(thanks, Nic for having it on your shop!)

I've been shopping at Uniiko Boutique, blogshop ran by d same fab girl, Nicole...and I love shopping with her...prices are reasonable yet items are of good quality and not d same old thing every other blogshop is selling...she handpicks d items she put up on her shop so I can be sure dat these are d few nice ones out of hundreds of designs d rest are selling...and I love dat part...and she also provides a very personalized service which especially makes me feel great shopping with her!

So, do check her out! I don't get paid to advertise for anyone..so you can trust what I say as I'm saying it coz I feel dat way...coz I don't want d fellow shopaholics to miss out...not coz I'm paid to do so... ;)

I'm thinking of making my blog more useful by sharing d good, d bad and d ugly I come across...hope I won't be too lazy to make it a regular thing..we shall see..right now, I have a lot of overdue photos to share! ;)

My 25th birthday came and went...didn't do anything big...just a really nice quiet dinner and a blue box dat made me so happy!..and I just got myself a birthday haircut earlier today...it was just super! I don't remember feeling dis happy coming out from a salon...even when I got my hair permed...dis is just SUPER! I might have just found MY hair stylist :D

Friday evening after work, I went to Anchor Point coz it's within walking distance from my office and I had some time to spare while waiting for Ree...bad idea to have any spare time because Anchor Point is a shopping mall full of outlet shops like Charles & Keith (cheap shoes!), Cotton On, G2000 (hello office wear!), Pedro, BillaBong and many more....anyways, naturally I ended up in Charles & Keith with 4 shoes in each hand to ask d sales girl to find my size in pairs so I can try walking in them...Ree took a while to arrive and d pile of shoes I was trying grew alarmingly bigger...but I managed to talk myself out of buying more dan 2...d gold open toe heels wanted to come home, too..but I had to sadly leave it for 1) I couldn't find a valid reason like for work, for comfort (for partying was out)..2) I simply could not justify myself to go home with 3 new shoes in one shopping trip...so, ya...perhaps I'll take pics of my new shoes I got for less dan 20 bucks a pair (simply because they are less season...they don't look d least bit less fab and I have no problem with my shoes being last season...) and show you guys in another post...

bro Mike is asking me what I want for my birthday...I have endless list of stuff I want, trust me...but when asked, I just can't come up with anything...maybe I'll take those gold heels I left behind..but how am I going to show them to him?..and I'm not sure if I need more shoes...but guess what?!..in an attempt to find similar looking shoes online to show him, I found another pair of shoes I want on Urban Org!..I saw Eleh wear them..but didn't pay much notice beside thinking she really knows how to buy killer shoes...now I'm in love...too bad they are not available here and online shopping needs some practice before you could do dat..so I don't expect anyone to get me those...why not just give me cold hard cash and I'll go buy myself what I want?.. but den what's d fun in dat?..

first day at work! I slept really really early (8:30PM!) last night coz I was so scared I won't wake up in time for work...I woke up early enough without alarm..guess enough sleep can do wonders though it's almost impossible for me to sleep early on a daily basis...oh well...work was fine..just going through orientation and no work so far...but I can tell there are shit load of work waiting for me once d honeymoon period is over with a colleague leaving and some on long long holiday....so, I'm enjoying myself for dis two days before reality strikes! :P

I wanna go shoe shopping in Bangkok...someone please bring me on a shoe shopping spree, can!?!?!!?! I want d entire second row and a few other pairs, can can can???????
